Journal entry # 1

In the book "Candy" by Kevin brooks the following quote (pg 126-127) " It was flooding out of me, streaming from my skin, and as it poured out I could feel all the sickness and crap I'd been feeling before pouring out with it, until all what was left was the primitive thrill of the music, pumping away inside of me. " relates to when I ride my horse. I get taken away into a different world, and all my cares and hopes, and problems seem to be taken away. I forget about all the negative things in my life and focus on her. She relieves my stress and makes me happy. Another relationship to this quote is when I work out. It also does the same for me, but in different ways. Working out also helps to relieve my stress, and makes me feel good about myself. When I start to see results I get more motivated and I keep continuing, and trying to make it a daily routine. This connection has helped to make me understand the book more because Joe feels the same way about music as I do about my horse and working out. Music helps to relieve his stress and all this problems with his family go away, and he drifts off into another world.

Top 3 tourist attractions to visit while in Hawaii

We all known Hawaii is known for it's blue waters, warm beaches, and endless amounts of Corona's but Hawaii is also known for it's tourism. There are many tourist attractions that make up the beautiful Island of Hawaii.



1. Honolulu zoo. This zoo is great because they have a very good variety of different types of animals. Lions, cheetahs, tigers, elephants, birds, monkeys, gorilla's, flamingo's you name it. They take excellent care of the animals and try to make their habitat as close as is would be in the wild.



2. Hanauma Bay. This gorgeous scenic view over looks the pacific ocean while this tourist attraction provides snorkeling in knee high water and floating over beautiful and natural sea life.
This seemingly hot spot allows you to relax and enjoy the beauty's of Hawaii.

3. Diamond Head mountain. Diamond head is a extinct volcano, that lets you climb up to the top and see all of Honolulu. With its lush green forestry, and exciting paths this is one place you wont want to miss!

2. Many normal people commit very violent crimes. The genocide in Rwanda is a good example of everyday people committing crimes because they wanted to fight for their land and power . The holocaust is another one, when Adolf Hitler killed millions of Jewish people because they had more money, and much more going for them then he ever did. In return he gave them no homes, no money and no clothes which he forced them into concentration camps.

3. Elie's speech relates to "the lottery" because he mentions in his speech that no one cares. They only consider themselve's and no one else and how they feel. When the towns people stoned the lady they never considered her feeling's. When she was late to the towns meeting, they were upset and decided she should be the one dead because of her actions.

Top 3 reasons why I'm going to be a mechanic!

Reason #1
I love cars. Everything about cars is amazing. How they sound, how they look and most of all how they work.

Reason #2
Not many girls can say they are mechanics, so I want to be one of the first girls out there who are doing what they love to do. I enjoy working on cars, its exciting and exhilarating. Ive grown up around cars so its definatly In my background.

Reason #3
I want to be able to build an engine from the ground up. I also want to build an amazing car and make it look incredible and tell people YUP! I build that car and customized it, all on my own.

What To Blog About?

I think we should do more blogs about arguing, and topics that are interesting to the human brain. I like to blog, because it gives us a chance to do something different, and not just write on paper all the time. It's almost like a vacation from english! not that english is bad, but it shouldnt have to be "theory" or whatever you want to call it. Im glad we do blogging, its a good change. Even though the computers are very slow, its still fun. I also think we should blog about situations and have others comment on it, because then it would spice up the blogging and get everyone worked up on whatever they're arguing about. Depending on how far it goes, people might have tension between others which wouldnt help out the class much. Maybe that idea isnt so brilliant after all, but hey it was worth a try.

SuperPower!

If I could have any super power in the world it would have to be teleportation.
You wouldnt have to fly, you just think of where you want to go and you are there in 1.2 seconds. Also you wouldn't have to pay for flights, because you would instantly be there. I have chosen this power because I watched the movie "Jumper" and I thought it was a good movie, with a brilliant super power. I do also think that every other super power is over used, and not many can teleport themselves.
